It all began at Bootleggers in Old Town Scottsdale on a weeknight in 2016, and the rest is history.

After some time, Michael’s persistence won Liz over. From his pick-up lines to his delicious homemade salsa, Liz realized that maybe Michael was an excellent suitor after all. Their early dating days were filled with evenings together, with Michael always having Coors Light on hand—he was convinced somehow that Liz loved it (although it is awful). They enjoyed dinners out, football Sundays, ping pong matches, poolside margaritas, hockey games, concerts, and trips to Vegas, Miami, and Mexico. What started as casual outings soon blossomed into something much more serious.

They knew they wanted to build a life together, marking their anniversary as March 17, 2017—St. Patrick’s Day, which made it easy for Michael to remember.

In a delightful twist on tradition, Liz and Michael welcomed their first child, Anya, in September 2018, Lincoln in January 2022 and Myles in January 2024.

Then, on May 29, 2024, Michael finally popped the question! Liz was gifted some great hiking boots for her birthday the day before and then the day after, Michael was very adamant about taking a family hike. They went to a close by location, the hiking trail behind Camelback Inn and once they reached the supposed “Summit”, Michael sat the kids down, handed them each a snack and got down on one knee. It couldn’t have been a more perfect start to the rest of their lives together! We can thank the COVID era for giving him the push he needed… ;)
